Introduction

We are looking for a permanent full-time Project Manager to join our Saskatoon, Regina, or Calgary team! This position will be reporting to the Manager of Projects.

March provides engineering, procurement, project, and construction management services to various resource-based industrial and commercial enterprises. In addition, March and its employees have developed specialized expertise in feasibility studies and asset integrity in the heavy industrial sector.

 Position Overview

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope, objectives, and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the duration of the project
  • Build strong working relationships with March’s project teams
  • Coordinate multi-discipline project teams, including internal resources and third parties/vendors
  • Communicate project requirements to the project team; ensure expectations on timelines and deliverables are clear
  • Track project performance by monitoring and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Perform risk management to identify and mitigate project execution risks and issues
  • Report and escalate project risks to Senior Management as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 - 8 years of project management experience in a related field
  • Experience in Mining & Minerals or Heavy Industrial
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset
  • Detail-orientated with a passion for creating high-quality deliverables
  • Must be comfortable working in a mining/heavy industrial environment to gather information and attend site meetings
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.

Work hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
