Introduction
We are seeking a permanent full-time Electrical Engineer to join our Saskatoon, Regina, or Calgary team! Reporting to the Electrical Discipline Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing LV and MV electrical distribution systems, electrical design, and components for projects within the mining and heavy industrial industry.

Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will assist with managing and planning various aspects of a project and design electrical systems in coordination with other major engineering disciplines.
This may include assisting with material cost and timing estimates, performing power systems design and analysis, and developing specifications, maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of electrical generation and distribution networks, electrical machinery, and components
- Perform power systems design and analysis, including electrical equipment evaluation, short circuit analysis and load flow analysis
- Assist with the inspection, installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Assist with material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Assist with the management and planning of various aspects of a project and design electrical systems in coordination with other major engineering disciplines
- Develop specifications, maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Investigate electrical or electronic failures
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
- Maintain efficient inter-disciplinary and client communication
- Provide mentorship to team members within the assigned discipline
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) by a Canadian provincial association of professional engineers is required
- Experience mentoring Electrical EIT’s will be considered an asset
- Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector and, more specifically, potash mining, would be viewed as an asset
- Site experience and heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position
- Prior experience in planning and/or design of renewable energy or cogeneration facilities is considered an asset
- Detail-oriented with a passion for creating high-quality deliverables
- Must be comfortable working in a mining/heavy industrial environment to gather information and attend site meetings
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
