March provides engineering, procurement, project, and construction management services to a variety of resource-based industrial and commercial enterprises. In addition, March and its employees have developed specialized expertise in feasibility studies and asset integrity in the heavy industrial sector.

Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver project results, on schedule and within budget limits.
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support on‑time, on‑budget project delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project controls systems, including cost and schedule baselines.
  • Mentor and support project controls analysts, planners, and schedulers.
  • Prepare detailed schedules, identify critical paths, and maintain schedule integrity.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Track project progress, analyze variances, and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.
  • Manage contractor and vendor inputs to ensure accurate cost and schedule alignment.
  • Update forecasts, assess impacts of changes, and support change management processes.
  • Calculate earned value and monitor KPIs to support proactive project decision‑making.
  • Support estimating, tendering, and risk management activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, or planning within multi‑disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or large‑scale infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with project controls and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of project management frameworks, cost control principles, and scheduling best practices.
  • Familiarity with estimating, tendering, and risk management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both internal and client‑facing interactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on developing practical, data‑driven solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse project teams.

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.

Work hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
