March provides engineering, procurement, project, and construction management services to a variety of resource-based industrial and commercial enterprises. Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver construction projects safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Develop, baseline, and maintain detailed construction execution plans, integrating project controls, scheduling, and resource intelligence.
  • Communicate project requirements clearly to all team members, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, quality, and deliverables.
  • Manage project resources in a matrix environment, working closely with functional managers to optimize staffing and technical support.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors, vendors, and third‑party service providers to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Oversee contractor performance, QA/QC activities, supplier coordination, site logistics, and interface management with client personnel.
  • Monitor project performance using project management tools, metrics, and data analytics to track progress and identify variances.
  • Continuously evaluate project plans, schedules, and budgets, recommending adjustments to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Conduct risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning; escalate risks to the Project Sponsor or Project Manager as required.
  • Manage and document changes to scope, schedule, and cost in accordance with project governance and change‑control processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with March’s project execution standards.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with March’s project teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of project execution frameworks, tools, and processes, leveraging lessons learned and project intelligence.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety programs, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, validate field conditions, and support issue resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, diploma in engineering technology, or equivalent industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, engineering technology diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in project management, construction management, supervision, or engineering roles.
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility in Saskatchewan or Alberta is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Red Seal certification in a construction‑related trade is an asset.
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with project management software and digital project tools.
  • Knowledge of project management frameworks, construction methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain execution discipline
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for both client‑facing and internal interactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including the use of data intelligence to evaluate project performance.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
